A Hammer

A hammer is likely going to quickly become one of your favorite tools as you put it in your apartment. A hammer is obviously great because it’ll help you put nails in your wall that are great for hanging stuff on. In addition, a hammer can be used to put together those pesky pieces of furniture that don’t seem to fit just right.

Two Screwdrivers

Having just one screwdriver won’t be enough. Therefore, you’ll need to make sure that you have both a Phillips and a flathead screwdriver. Having both of these tools will allow for you to screw or unscrew almost anything that you’ll come across. Anything else, and it might be time to start expanding your tool set.

A Tape Measure and Level

There is nothing that can be more tacky than having a bunch of unevenly hung pieces of artwork in your apartment. That is why a level will come in so handy. Not only will a level help you make straight lines, but you can also use it as a tape measure to adequately organize your apartment.

Tool Belt

If you live on your own, or if you are just the only one in the apartment who does any sort of DIY work, then you’ll want to have a tool belt. You’ll need as many free hands as you can get when working with heavy tools, so a tool belt will be worth the investment.

Strong Adhesive

Sometimes you are going to come across things in your apartment that make you smack your head and question your luck. When these silly little issues happen, such as a broken broom or a leaky pipe, you’ll be amazed how helpful a strong adhesive can be. This can include either a tape or a glue, as both will do wonders – for at least a short period of time.
