Choosing The Right Tablet
If you don’t have a tablet or are in the market for a new one, you know just how difficult the decision can be. There are all kinds of different brands, sizes, models, styles, and more to choose from. The guide below is just a few of the biggest tablets on the market today.
It is hard to start a list of tablets without having Apple’s iPad at the top of it. After all, Apple is the one who made the idea of the tablet popular. Apple currently offers 3 different models of their newest iPad, the iPad Pro, iPad, and iPad mini 4. They are all very powerful and performance wise are considered to be the best on the market. There are all kinds of different memory options to choose from, so the price range for the new iPads is very wide. Price is the main drawback with the iPad, as it is with most Apple products. iPads are the most expensive tablets on our list and there is no question you are going to overpay for the Apple name. However, with this added price comes the Apple store and Genius Bar customer service that can help you with any problems with your tablet. iPads are great for kids as they use the same iOS operating system found in iPhones that is great for playing games and using social media. iPads may be a little more costly, but often times are worth the price.
Google Pixel C
One of the most trusted names in technology recently tried their hand in the tablet game when Google released it’s Pixel C. The tablet uses the Android operating system and can do just about everything the slightly more expensive iPad can do. The screen on the Google Pixel is slightly larger than the one on most iPad models, so it is said to be better for watching TV and movies. One major drawback with the Pixel could be the Android operating system that it uses. If you are like much of the world and have an iPhone, you will have a hard time going back and forth between operating systems. They are pretty different and often do not have the same apps. The way iPhones connect with iPads is a huge advantage of the Apple products and Android phones and the Google Pixel are capable of the same. It is often a good idea to stick with whatever operating system your phone uses when buying your tablet because of how well they can be paired together.
Microsoft Surface Pro
The Surface Pro made by Microsoft is a unique combination of a computer and tablet. It can be spun around like a computer with a keyboard or handheld like other tablets. It is very powerful and a great tablet if you are planning to use it to do work or use at work. When you are using the Surface Pro it feels like you are on a normal computer, largely because it uses Windows which most computers use. The Surface Pro is also a great option for students who need something to use for both school and enjoyment. The Surface Pro usually has higher memory options than the other tablet choices, so it is good if you plan on using it for a lot of different purposes. The Surface Pro is the most versatile tablet on our list, but the price is probably not worth it if you just are looking for a tablet to use for enjoyment.
There are dozens more of tablet options on the market beyond the 3 listed above, they are just a few of the biggest. Samsung, Amazon, and Asus all make their own tablets, just to name a few. So make sure you do your research before taking the leap and buying your next tablet!
